IV BRAZILIAN CEMENT AND LIME SEMINAR – SUCCESS!!!
One of the world major events in the cement and lime area
On June 9th and 10th it was held at Anhembi Conventions Palace, in São Paulo (Brazil), the IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar. The event gathered around four hundred people among sponsors and participants and had Votorantim Cimentos - the seventh largest cement group in the world – as master sponsor. Sponsors and participants came from Brazil, the Americas, Europe and Asia. Participants who represented all the Brazilian cement and lime manufacturing groups and many foreign companies.
The IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar was opened with a paper by Eng. Edvaldo Araújo Rabelo, Technical Director of Votorantim Cimentos, master sponsor of the event. During the two days of the IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar 35 papers were presented covering technical, economic and environmental topics as well introducing new products, technologies or services to the participants.
All lectures were evaluated by the attending audience and, as a result of this evaluation, the presentation by M.Sc. Eng. Joana Bretz de Souza, subordinated to the theme "Flow Stratification - 'Invisible' Limitation to Co-processing" was chosen as the “IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar Best Paper” and won, therefore, the "Votorantim Cimentos Award".
During the two-day event, the corporate sponsors had booths to receive friends and customers and to display their products in a "business area". The interest in technological innovations brought to the IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar was made clear due to the intense activities in these booths and the staying of the vast majority of participants at the "business area", both days, long after the closing of the papers presentation.
In this edition of the event the "social activities" – a tradition in our Seminars – included, in addition to lunches, "coffee breaks" and cocktails, three shows and prizes for all those attending the closing ceremony. Again these social activities have proved to be a powerful tool for integration and harmonization between the public and sponsors of the event.
The support of highly respected sponsors, the presence of an audience that grows at each edition, the papers’ quality and the participation and integration of all in the "social activities" definitely consolidated the Brazilian Seminar on Cement and Lime as one of the most important worldwide events in the area of cement and lime.
A TEC GRECO, as the event organizer, is proud of the IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar and shares these results with all its sponsors and participants. Without them the IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar would not have been successful as it was. But A TEC GRECO is also concerned with its responsibility for organizing in 2013, the V Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar in such a way to overcome the results of the "2011 version". It will be difficult and laborious but we are sure that with the support of all those who have ever supported us, we will get there!
